From our humble beginnings in a small container in Moreleta Park, Pretoria, Culture has expanded to sourcing, selecting, roasting and supplying coffee to you, the coffee lover. We have a wonderful team of well trained, passionate people that can help and guide your every coffee need.
Every variety of coffee has its own specific personality, and making coffee is about extracting the best out of what that specific bean has to offer. That is why we only use highly trained baristas with a passion, and pallet to serve only the best from our beans through various brewing methods.
Culture Coffee Company is not a franchise, every shop we open is managed by a team of hand picked coffee aficionados ready to deliver the same standard of friendliness, service and coffee quality.

WHY CULTURE COFFEE?
Culture is the characteristics and knowledge of a particular group of people, encompassing language, religion, cuisine, social habits, music and arts. It is a way of life.
The word “culture” derives from the Latin word “colere”, which means to tend to the earth and grow, cultivate and nurture.
“Coffee” or morning wine, on the other hand, has roots in several languages. In Yemen it earned the name “qahwah,” which was originally a romantic term for wine. It later became the Turkish “kahveh,” then Dutch “koffie” and finally “coffee” in English.
